The Artist Who Wasn't an Artist

We were recently hired to create promo videos for a women’s conference. Some of the presenters wanted their own promo video, as well. Whitney was one of those people.

When Whitney first took the stage, I could tell this would be an energetic promo. Full of movement and excitement in her voice, she captured the audience. They were enthralled!

The unique thing about Whitney is that she admitted that when she bought her first art studio, she wasn’t an artist, had never been to art school, had never really drawn anything…she just really felt like art was something she’d like to do! It was a pretty inspiring story of how you can reach your dreams as long as you never give up!

In putting together this promo, we first asked each presenter to fill out an intake form. This is different from the contract you sign when you book with us. The intake form is what allows us to get to know you and your business/organization better in a way that we can use to make your promo video best reflect your overall message and call to action.

By following the outline given in her intake form, we were able to choose graphics, colors, words, footage, and music that blends will with her overall theme.

If you are in Colorado and are looking for the best way to showcase your business and bring in more customers, a promo video is the key. Experts tell us that the more video you have on your site, the more likely your site visitors will click through and stay for awhile. That’s good news for a business owner!

And if you’re thinking there’s no way you can fit a promo video into your budget, remember – it’s a marketing strategy, so you can’t think of it as a possible waste of money – you have to think of it in terms of ROI (Return on Investment). Purchasing a promo video has the best – almost guaranteed – ROI. Why? Because in order for that video to be worth the money, all it has to do is rake in one or two sales for you – that’s it! Whatever sales you make from the video after that is just bonus! That video will make you AT LEAST two sales…usually much more! So, you tell me, viewing it from that perspective, is a promo video worth the cost?
